SENIOR PORTRAIT DIMENSIONS - LETTER TO PHOTOGRAPHERS
The image dimensions for senior portraits will be 11 X 13 (picas) with slightly rounded edges, just as last year's book had.
I realize that many of you stamp a logo on the corner of images (or a student's name). If you are concerned about an image showing up correctly or logos being lopped off, you may send me an image and I will upload it to the system and send you a .pdf file so that you may preview the result yourself.

Senior Portrait Photographers:
Greetings! As we begin a new school year, you are no doubt busy taking portraits of the freshly minted senior class. As you do so, please keep the following things in mind:
Seniors must turn in portraits to me by September 11, 2009. If their portrait is submitted late, it is highly likely that another portrait will be substituted (typically their portrait taken on School Picture Day).
To assist students with meeting this deadline, you may choose to submit portraits electronically. This is the preferred method, as it not only saves us time (less scanning) but also ensures that the image is as you originally intended it to appear. If you submit portraits electronically, please keep in mind the following:
· All images must be 300 dpi resolution or higher. Any lower resolution and the yearbook software will not accept the image without significant alteration.
· Images should be vertical; please do not submit horizontal/landscape images. These will have to be cropped considerably.
· Images should be no smaller than a standard wallet size, although larger images may be resized if you prefer to send them as-is.
· Your subject must be in compliance with school dress code and may not have objects in the photograph that violate school rules (for example, guns, drugs, et cetera).
· This year, the entire yearbook, including the senior section, will be in full color. As such, students may wish to forego the inclusion of black-and-white photographs.
· Please save images in this format: FirstnameLastname.jpg
· Single images may be e-mailed to micki.clark@hopkins.kyschools.us. Larger submissions should be put on a CD or flash drive and either mailed to my attention at the address above or dropped off at the school’s front desk during business hours.
